In order for you to register with us, you must, at the minimum, provide us your name and e-mail address. If you are a school, we also require your credit card information, mailing address, telephone number and information about your school.
3. Non-Personal Information We Collect
We may collect information about you that is not personal information. When you access our website, we may collect such things as your IP address, browser, operating system, referring URL, and other general information about our visitors. This information, on its own, cannot usually be used to identify you.
4. Information Published by Schools
The schools who subscribe to our service are responsible for their own publications. You agree that we cannot be held liable for the information that the school collects or publishes using our service (we are additionally protected under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act). If you have any privacy concerns, you may address them to us and we will attempt to take action, but we recommend that you go to the source, which is the school.
5. Use of Information
We may use your information:
To process transactions.
To send e-mails about SchoolVine or respond to inquiries.
To send e-mails about SchoolVine, our other products, news, or updates.
To improve enhance or improve user experience, SchoolVine.com's website, or our service.
7. Third Party Websites
We, or a school publisher, may link to third party websites from our own website. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, these third party websites or their use of your personal information. We recommend that you review their privacy policies and other agreements governing your use of their website.
8. Third Party Access to Your Information
Additionally, we may store your information or share it with certain other third parties for reason that may or may not be related to maintenance, advertising, marketing, or other purposes related to our business. The following is a non-exhaustive list of other entities that we may use to collect, store, share, or transfer your information with:
Helpscout.com, which we use to communicate with and support our users. Campaignmonitor.com, which we use to collect e-mail addresses and send email for marketing purposes. Stripe.com, which is a third party payment processor that we use to process your payment if you are a paid subscriber to our website.
9. Law Enforcement
We may disclose your information to a third party where we believe, in good faith, that it is desirable to do so for the purposes of a civil action, criminal investigation, or other legal matter. In the event that we receive a subpoena affecting your privacy, we may elect to notify you to give you an opportunity to file a motion to quash the subpoena, or we may attempt to quash it ourselves, but we are not obligated to do either.

We use SSL certificates, vulnerability scanning, and PCI DSS-compliant hosting to help secure our website. However, we make no representations as to the security or privacy of your information. It is in our interest to keep our website secure, but we recommend that you use anti-virus software, firewalls, and other precautions to protect yourself from security threats.
